WKA announced first Junior English Muay Thai Open

Muay Thai blog is proud to announce an association with the newly released ‘WKA Junior Muay Thai English Open‘ that was announced last night. The World Kickboxing Association is one of the biggest and longest running kickboxing sanctioning bodies and is taking the UK by storm. Not only do they sanction kickboxing events but they also cover karate and other matted combat sports too.

This is a big step for MTBUK, developing and pushing forward to grow the brand. With the recent makeover it has gone through it gives us a more professional feel and look. So keep your eyes peeled for more updates regarding the open and what it entails. I will be sharing the event on MTBUK and posting regular updates on here as well, so if you are a coach or are a junior that would like to take part then you will be able to keep yourself up to date on all things related to the open right here.

The open will be giving juniors aged between 8-18 years old the opportunity to compete for the vacant WKA Muay Thai Open titles. The event will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne. Most of the details are yet to be confirmed but make sure you head over to the Facebook page tha

t we released last night to keep up to date with all things related with the event. MTBUK will be working closely with them so any news that gets posted on there will be crossed over to this site too!

It is a positive move for the North East in moving towards being a hub for contact sports. It just goes to show that collaboration works and helps the sport that we all love. There will be plenty of content to keep your eyes out for so make sure that you keep your eyes peeled to keep yourself updated!
