Traincation – A trip to Thailand to train with the best?

I have never personally ventured on a traincation or even been to Thailand for that matter and this is something that I would definitely like to pursue and make a reality. I am writing this to put the feelers out and announce that there could very well be a Muay Thai Blog TrainCation in the pipeline. Two weeks in Thailand in March. A week in the hustle and bustle of the Thai capital, Bangkok and a week on the beautiful Thai island of, Koh Samui.

Doing something like this has, up until recently, been very much a dream. Dreams are for chasing and making a reality, now, since my interview with the Muay Thai Guys (Sean Fagan and Paul Banasiak) and Matthew Deane, owner of Khongsittha this has really become something that could actually happen.

I am looking for a group of people to come with me and a few others to come and train with some of the worlds greatest Nak Muay in the paradise that is Thailand. Muay Thai Blog’s TrainCation will be looking at early next year (March time) but the dates are yet to be confirmed. If you would like to be kept up to date with everything that is going on then I would strongly suggest that you sign up to the Muay Thai Blog Newsletter because this is going to be where most of the communication will be done.

I will also be making announcements as they happen on the Muay Thai BlogCast too so make sure you listen carefully to keep posted on the developments that are happening. I have already been in talks with Khongsittha and Muay Thai Holidays to begin putting things in place to make this dream a reality and I would love to share this journey with every single one of you.

To be realistic, we will be looking at a group of between 15-20 of us. Experience isn’t an issue. You can be a seasoned fighter or someone who has just began training, I would really like this to be an experience for everyone and an experience that hopefully many more people will get to share with us all. I will be documenting the whole journey through all the channels I can, videos, pictures, interviews, blog posts and any other ways I can think of.

So let’s throw caution to the wind on this one. Blow the winter cobwebs away in the new year and start this exciting journey together. What do you think?
