Tankō Main Event – Weigh-ins
Tankō is now less than 24 hours away!
The Tankō Main Event is going down! All is getting very real now. All of the weigh-ins are now completed, all fighters made their weight and it is time to rehydrate and refuel! The various social medias are a buzz with people saying how excited they are and how much they can’t wait for tomorrow.
Dakota Ditcheva wrote on her facebook: “My supporters & Northern Spirit family are a bit nutty, always posting and can sometimes have a big of aggressive/competitive banter but they are 100% the most LOYAL you will ever get and that’s all that matters to me💜💜💜. On a more mature note😂…good luck to all fighters tomorrow, if you haven’t got a ticket then you’re missing a couple of crackers on this show👀💥💥”
Dakota is set to fight Emma Bragg for the ISKA 50.5kg British title. There will be sparks flying from both of these promising talents and I am sure that everyone will agree! Dakota is sponsored by Tankō so I am sure that she will be putting every ounce of her grit and determination to get the win! As will Emma!
There has been some famous faces floating around at the Bolton USN Arena! One of which is a household name within the combat sports world: Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton. I am sure there will be many faces known to the Muay Thai world that will be venturing down to Bolton tomorrow to see one of the biggest events the UK has seen make history!
I had a quick chat with Phill Shedden, one of the promoters of The Tankō Main Event tonight and he seemed really excited to bring this show together and bring all these fantastic fighters under one roof for Muay Thai lovers all around the world: “Weigh-ins went very well, everyone made weight (eventually). The prep is well underway, we’re ahead of schedule. Tomorrow the muay thai world is in for a showcase like no other, nobody in the UK delivers like The Tanko Main Event, not even close. Tomorrow something incredible is coming… Make sure you are there!”
Wise words… If you aren’t able to make it, just to let you know that MTBUK will be going ‘Live’ on Facebook and showing some of the fights online. iIf you go to it, you have to remember to share it with all of your friends!
