Keith McLachlan fights for WBC World Title

Keith McLachlan heads to Tokyo for a WBC World title fight

Keith McLachlan is already WBC British, European and International champion and now he is looking for the fourth green strap around his waist, the WBC World title, which would mean he has managed to complete the collection and will have achieved world domination. Keith was awarded Thai Fighter UK ‘fighter of the year 2015’. Last year was a fantastic year of fighting for Keith, fighting on some of the biggest shows and defeating some of the toughest opponents that the UK has to offer.

The WBC World title, which he is fighting for next weekend on a Japanese promotion. The current WBC world champion Genji Umano. He has recently visited Arizona with his two sons Reece and Corey for them to compete for world titles of their own. We at MTBUK wish Keith the very best in this upcoming fight. Keith always trains really hard in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland at the Griphouse gym. He posted a video of him hitting pads in preperation of his upcoming bout on Facebook but I couldn’t share it on here.

We have had chance to interview Keith before when he fought Panicos Yusuf at the Tankō Main Event a little earlier this year, you can check out the interview at the bottom of the page. These two are some of the most humble guys you have ever met in your life and it was an absolute honour to speak to them. You can see the Panicos interview here.

After the fight next weekend we will have a catch up with Keith and get his thought on how he thought the fight went and how he feels about being crowned the new WBC World Champion (I know, I should be impartial but I am really rooting for him).

We will keep you posted and announce the result on the MTBUK Facebook page so head over and give it a like to you can keep up to date!

Best of luck Keith on your WBC World Title shot!
