Harrison & Howson train in Thailand ahead of ONE Championship bouts

It is no secret that ONE Championship is the promotion to be aiming towards fighting on at the moment. They have been recruiting world champions from all over the world to feature on their stacked cards.

Featuring mainly in the East at the moment, ONE Championship delivers a fight card not only featuring one type of martial art but a whole range… from MMA, Muay Thai, Kick boxing and more! This, in my opinion, keeps the cards fresh, its not all people rolling about and bloody murder from beginning to end.

There have been some amazing fighters from the UK feature and make very very good accounts for themselves on the promotion owned by Chatri Sityodtong. Liam Nolan, Charlie Peters, Jonathan Haggerty, Juan Cervantes just a few of the recruits who have stepped on to the ONE stage.

Harrison has already fought on ONE twice, I think. Once against Rodlek and once against Petchmorakot. Harrison suffered defeat on both occasions, that being said, that by no means he didn’t go out on his shield. In his first appearance, back in December 2018, Harrison was stopped in the second round by a devastating right hand.

Then, most recently, he went the full 3 rounds with Rodlek, going to town on his leg and showing why he got the name of the hitman. Unfortunately, an early know down went against him and cost him the fight. In this outing he faces Mohammed Bin Mahmoud on the same card Jonathan Haggerty faces Rodtang for the ONE Championship world title.

Howson is yet to step inside the ONE ring from a fighting capacity. He announced that he will be doing so in February. Coming out of retirement and back into training full-time, Howson is looking to resharpen those tools and take the world by storm.

When Howson was in his prime, he was known for his explosive power and outrageousness in the ring. His wars with Damien Trainor are amazing. I am very much looking forward to seeing Howson throw down in the ONE arena and solidifying the UK’s presence on the already growing, ONE athlete roster.

Both these guys are absolute monsters. They have been sharing a few clips on their social about their stay in Thailand at the moment at the YOKKAO Training Centre in Bangkok alongside all the Elite level fighters and coaches there.

It’s ace to see the guys getting the chances to be representing the UK in such a manner. Wishing them all the very best in their upcoming fights, I am sure the fight fans around the world will not be disappointed with the results, whatever the results.

ONE have a free app whereby you can watch all the fights, past and present (live!) so make sure you get it downloaded and tune in to Harrison and Haggerty throwing down in just a few days.

All the best lads. Go get em!
