Connor McCormack does it again! (Head kick KO)

McCormack win S3 Fight League European title with devastating headkick!

So it has just surfaced that Connor McCormack of Petchnoi gym based in Northampton has took the European S3 Fight League title in spectacular fashion. MTBUK covered an event last year, Champions Collide, in Coventry where he stopped Tim Thomas in exactly the same way. Connor has been making a name for himself recently by climbing the rankings in the UK.

This time he went toe to toe with Dominik Matusz of Perun Gym in London. Both fighters were competing for the S3 Fight League European title in the England’s capital city. Above you can see an interview that MTBUK did with McCormack at his win, he has been going from strength to and is looking to take on the higher ranked guys in his weight category. He mentions in the interview that he was looking for the higher quality scouts, if he carries on like this promoters won’t have a choice but to have the technician on their shows.

His is known for his knockout power and his signature knockout is his headkick which you can see in action right here on the video below. It was in the first round, so both fighters were fresh, but you can see both fighters feeling each other out and getting an idea as to how operate. Little did Matusz know what was round the corner. The effects of McCormacks devastating head kick. McCormack is generally quite tall for his weight giving him an advantage over his smaller stocker opponents. Nonetheless, he came to take the win and thats exactly what he did. He took to social media posting a picture with his shiny new belt and saying that he ‘will update everyone properly tomorrow.’

MTBUK look forward to seeing McCormack grow as a fighter and wish him all the best in 2017 with the fights he has coming up! Catch the knockout here:
